One of the easiest ways to get great photos is to so where it is so spectacular that good photos are unavoidable and all you have to do is point somewhere and hit the shutter.. For example - Maui Susets looking towards Molokai. -2010.
Shot one is a jpeg converted from the unadjusted SOOC raw file while the second shot was done with a little help from LC - Auto adjust, contrast, a couple of other tweaks.
The view was amazing and I have some panoramas that show it. Shots from 2010, shot with Nikon D5000 with the 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 lens.
