I have had my D850 since 2018 and love using the camera and results it delivers. I hope you get the same enjoyment and satisfaction from yours.
If speed is a particular issue for you in what you shoot, I recall reading a review online sometime after the D850 was released. What the reviewer claimed was that is shooting and storing to XQD and SD simultaneously, the overall write speed was reduced due to the SD card being used. What they determined was to obtain maximum camera write speed the SD card needed to be removed and therefore relying solely on the XQD card. The review provided a number of different tests and write times obtained.
As this is not an issue for my landscape photography, I didn't follow up any further to ascertain its accuracy and what it meant it real terms. If this might be an issue for you, other members on the forum might be able to provide more.
I have attempted an internet search today but could not find the review I spoke of, sorry. There are however search results I saw commenting will the same findings, though their articles lack technical quantification.
