The Milky Way with the Galactic Core photographed from Cerro Castillo in Chilean Patagonia. The red glow behind the hill is the approaching sunrise - even though dawn was more than 2 hours later:

Nice shot! I am surprised that at 20 seconds you don't seem to be getting any trailing of the stars. What is your secret?

It's no secret. I use the used the '500 rule' referenced on many websites. Essentially if using a full frame camera the maximum exposure time before star streaking is 500/focal length of lens in seconds. I was using a 20mm lens and could theoretically have used a 25 second exposure. In fact I could see some streaking at that exposure length and used 20 seconds instead.
