My Camera Was Eaten!

Will check out my NAS but I have also camera traps out in the bush and had 2 cameras out pointed to a dead duiker in the hope a leopard would come to finish it off.
So, there came a herd of elephants and pushed one of the trees over with the camera trap on it that gave me some very nice footage :) Will check it to upload here.
But indeed, hyenas did eat one of my camera traps as well :)

I made a new video about eaten camera. :ROFLMAO:
The year shown by the camera is wrong, it was last year. This cameras are not very good in quality or handling but they can deliver a very interesting results and funny stories. The camera was destroyed and I bought the other one ;-)
Very interesting and funny video, Elena. I really like your pleasant, authentic narrations... they make your videos so personal. Thanks for sharing this.
Cheers (y) (y) (y)🇨🇦

THank you very much, Rudy :D I will be happy to have a better accent ;-) but well... to have some narration is better than nothing ;-)
Your accent is great! Your voice is very pleasant, happy and welcoming... it's all just perfect! Keep doing what you're doing, my friend! (y)🇨🇦
Have a great day!

Love this Elana, (y)
I too have fallen victim many times to Hyena eating my Camera traps, (most were retrievable, but not all) and have had my GoPro chewed, run off with and "christened" by the likes of Wild Dog, Lion and my favourite was a Honey Badger in Moremi. :D

WoW! 😅
Interestingly, my GoPro was also chewed by Hyena! It looks like they like GoPros? :ROFLMAO: Could be a good marketing Ad for GoPro. Hyena destroyed the front monitor but the camera is still working and I still use it and have a Hyena Signing on it. 😅

And what a Honey Badger did?

When we were staying in Zim in 2017 a Honey Badger opened our box with food. There were some nuts, müsli, cereals, biscuites, chips and similar stuff. And he tried eveything. He didn't eat it all but opened almost each pack and tried :ROFLMAO:. I gathered then all together, all those opened packs and some stuff from the floor what didn't have the tracks of teeth and we ate it afterwards :ROFLMAO: becasue we didn't have anything else, we were in the bush, there was no shop and guides said that Honey Budger is a very clean and safe animal :ROFLMAO: 😅 Maybe they were jocking :ROFLMAO: but we didn't get sick.

Such a fun and interesting video. Loved your narration.

Interesting video. Sounds like they're just like our black bears in that they can't leave camera traps alone, it's a rare bear that passes a camera without messing with it, sometimes destroying it. All of mine are in steel protective boxes. But elephants would be a different matter; there was a fellow in Thailand who had to go to extraordinary lengths to protect his cameras from Asian elephants.
