In Photo Shooting Menu, the VIBRATION REDUCTION menu and FOCUS SHIFT SHOOTING are both GREYED out . How can I access both these menus ?
If you would like to post, you'll need to register. Note that if you have a BCG store account, you'll need a new, separate account here (we keep the two sites separate for security purposes).
Attach a lens and the camera will be able to use focus shift - so long as it’s an AF lensNo, I do not have a lens attached
Yeah, there are a number of menu features that are only accessible when the camera has a lens with the proper capabilities mounted. For instance if you mount a lens that has its own VR switch you'll find the VR ON/OFF in the menus is grayed out because in that case the lens switch turns VR on and off. But if you mount a lens that does not have its own VR switch the VR menu is accessible as with lenses like that VR is controlled through the menus.I do not require VR when a lens is not attached. I was trying to SET UP the camera ....without the lens.
Thank you, appreciate your in depth responseYeah, there are a number of menu features that are only accessible when the camera has a lens with the proper capabilities mounted. Basically the menu system takes into account how the camera system is set up at that moment so some menu items may not be accessible until you mount up an appropriate lens.
