I suspect the noise you’re asking about comes from the VR motors in the lens.

It might be VR noise, hard to say. Turn VR on/off and see if it changes.

Yes, switching over to Normal from Sport seems to _decrease_ the noise and going to VR Off pretty much gets rid of it.
Is this expected or should I be concrerned and see if the lens should be checked?
