No Ducks but swamped by Grackles

Went to the pond to capture this years gathering of ducks, well they stayed in the brush so not much to work with. while laying there prone the area got swamped by Grackles so that became the subject. Had to use what was presented. Your thoughts welcome. D500 using older manual AI 400 2.8 , heavey lens on Robus tripod with gimble. 400mm 2.8 ,1/1600 , auto iso 1100, yes I could have slowed the shutter .

I really like the gold of the water combined with the iridescent plumage. It appears to me that the frame is tilted to the right a bit - but that would be easy to remedy. If it were mine, I might consider removing the two OOF twigs in the background that are sticking up and to the left - depends on your view of the situation.

I like it, very much. Radiates a feeling of solitude and stillness.
The grackle has nice detail
