Very nice. I've spent many hours looking at that exact spot but never had a Squacco as smart as that

Thanks guys, this is a beautiful small heron, even when not in breeding plumage, one of several species we have here. The Southern African region hosts 20/63 species of the world's Ardeidae, so we are quite spoiled.
