I have been fortunate to have had a number of opportunities to photograph a variety of different species of owls. However last week I had the luck of watching and photographing a family of GHO, two adults and two full grown juveniles. I spent a total of 70 minutes with these owls, photographing them leaving the tree they were on, going to hunt in a field as well as having a parent feed a juvenile and finally, one of the owls catching a Jerusalem cricket right in front of me and eating it. Some shots were shot after it was quite dark while others still had some light. A couple are posted below and more are on my flickr site:

My contribution to this thread... Ive photographed 8 species overall, only 5 species included here. I have lots more of GHO, LEO, and BO too :) Still hoping to get Spotted owl soon, and maybe GGO in Yellowstone this summer. BTW, the great horned shot's background is hills in sunset light.
