nearly there now with the setup. Just one more item to change and that is the cable from the microphone to the camera. Getting a shorter one to plug into one of the the XLR ports on the handle
Shown as a table top setup but easily changed over to full tripod if wanted
this consists of from bottom up
1= Mormon base
2=Sirui SL200 extn arm
3= Manfrotto MVH400ah tripod head
On the arm a wired remote on /off zoom controller.On that a bloothtooth remote (3m sticky pad)
4= Panasonic HC-X1500 camcorder
5 =Panasonic VW-HUI handle
6= Azden SMX-30v Microphone
7 = Azden wind muffler (deadcat)
What I have discovered that without the handle any added microphone to the cold shoe does not cut out the camcorder microphone.
Add the handle and the onboard microphone is no longer working but the extrnl microphone does
This seemed a bit odd to me, but looking into the recess the handle sits into there is a small USB type port hidden that the handle plugs into. this must then bypass the onboard mike.
at least I am not tethered to all this by using a bluetooth headphone
I would love to see other members camcorder rigs they use
