This guy (Virginia Rail) was just peeking out for the longest time, but he finally stepped out into the open.

Thank you gentlemen, I appreciate the comments. For what it is worth, I went by the location today where I photographed this bird (and a Sora). It is already so covered with vegetation that these shots would be impossible. I'll have to wait until early Spring next year to try for more captures.
