Photos of Beaver in Grand Tetons

We were in Grand Tetons and Yellowstone last week. Saw many of the expected animals. Lucky enough to catch a couple beavers in a pond about 10 feet away working on chewing through a small tree on the bank of the pond. Sharing three photos. The Z9 eye detect picked up the ears as often as the eyes.

Nice images!

Yeah, I've seen the same thing with Beavers and similar species like Nutria. Those dark round ears must look a lot like eyes to the Z9 animal detect algorithms. In those cases I hit the Display button set to disable subject detection via a saved RSF function and continued to photograph without subject detection and that worked fine with an appropriately small focus area.
