It took a few attempts to observe the flight path and speed but eventually was able to predict and tried to keep in within the frame

well done, @Prashant Prakash ! It is a very fast bird! I used to photograph them in Southern Africa. But for me it was easier to predict their flight when they were fishing: they stay in the air and then drop down. Are those birds also in India?

Thanks a bunch!!Indeed! And yes easier to take a shot when they hover over searching for a fish as they are static. We do find them in India, not super rare.. They are one of the 12 Kingfisher species we have here.
