So I was shooting images of a Bald Eagle on a power pole near a pond, using my Z9 and 500mm PF last Sunday. The eagle is somewhat acclimated to individuals and I was able to slow approach to about 50 feet. Shutter speed was 1/2500th second and aperture at f5.6. So I was surprised when I started to process the shots, the the left power line looked different while the right one was the normal I see, almost like a shadow. Obviously they are not in focus, as they were lower than the eagle.
Here is the image in question. I have shot here with the power lines in the image many times before but have never seen this effect. It was taken about 1 hour after sunrise.
Does anyone have any ideas? Or is an effect for not being in focus. Thanks in advance.
