For astro work, high quality chromalux is hard to beat. Great blacks. Also, no matter how convinced we are that our masterpieces must survive for millennia, reality is that we tire of them and their resale value is minimal. Hence the importance of materials life cycle. And for that, aluminium is hard to beat. Pretty much infinitely recyclable.
