I have had no photos of a Cedar Waxwing in my catalog to date. This evening I was sitting down at my desk to wrap up a couple of work items and saw about 30 birds in the tree in front of our house. I grabbed what I had (D850 w/ 500mm PF). Light sucked, grey, overcast, late afternoon but I snapped away anyway through the window. I got about 30 photos in 30 seconds. Total encounter from sighting to departure about 1 minute.
Here are a few shots run through DxO PL5 and LrC. All are cropped (30mp, 16mp, 4mp, 4mp). They are still not good but they are my first. Will do better next time.
