I would try to clone it out. Since the bird is looking in that direction, one has a naturally tendency to try to see what has it's attention and that gives the plant a stronger presence in the image. For that reason, my feeling is that the plant's presence is distracting from the bird (vs. being an inconsequential part of the habitat). I really love the roadrunner, but the plant; not so much.
I agree with Charlie, a beautiful pin sharp photo of the Roadrunner but the plant does distract from the bird.
