Have booked a spot on the 6 April evening Photography slot at the Rowe Sanctuary near Kearney, Nebraska to photograph Sandhill Cranes. Will also do some local drives to look at other observation points. It is carry-in and carry out for the gear. I have available a D850, Z6 and D750 with a 500 f/5.6 PF; 200-500mm f/5.6 and Z 70-200 with 1.4 and 2.0 TCs, tripods. Also have the Z 100-400 on order (currently #2 on the wait list) and hoping.
I know to be prepared for cold and am looking for any suggestions or recommendations to be best prepared for this event. Any suggestions for other spots to try during the day also appreciared. We have a spot booked at the RV park for 3 nights so this will be an adventure. Your help is appreciated in advance.
