Alright, I am using the default D850 camera strap. I use a 200-500mm f5.6, which is quite heavy. My understanding is to never let the lens just hang from my neck. Despite being uncomfortable, this puts pressure between the lens and the camera body that could cause issues. In turn, I always just hold my camera and run around to get my shot. This sometimes gets awkward with a tripod in hand.
How are you all approaching this? I’ve heard of a cotton carrier system, I also know of peak design straps which I believe can be attached to any lens.
