I was very happy to be joined by a Sandhill Crane Family during my photo stop at Veteran's Park on The Milwaukee River in downtown Grafton WI. This location is proving to be a good place for me. While photographing a pair of GBHs, this trio of Sandhill Cranes flew in to join the scene.
One bird, is clearly a juvenile (still has its forehead feathers), with two aduklts. Maybe a family given the smaller size of the juvenile which could be from this year. I am no expert and will accept other opinions. They also rewarded viewers with a flight around the park. I could only get two birds in the shots given the 1120mm focal length, tight space and my limited skillset. All shots cropped for better framing.
