Shooting Vertical With Z9

I can shoot horizontal with no issues. When I put the camera in the position to shoot vertical and look through the view finder it does not focus and nothing happens if I attempted to make any adjustments. My guess is that I am doing something dumb and miss adjusted some setting.

I did just download 3.0 firmware this morning but would be surprised if that is the cause.

Any help appreciated.
