I like the shot showing habitat and environment, it's a nice change from pure portrait images. Well seen and nicely composed!
FWIW, I'm not at all bothered by that as room was left for the implicit feet. Maybe that's just me but sometimes feet are obscured by grass, snow, sand and the like but as long as the photographer frames for the implicit room they'd take it doesn't give the sense of amputating the legs.

The second image was only intended to show the level of detail in a 100% crop. I don't do "deer portraits" very often but this handsome boy "in the velvet" was too much to resist.
Yes, a portrait, but so very environmental nestled as he is in the grass and flowers!
