Summer FL birding? Cape Romain?

Hello, I have the opportunity to go to Florida between July and August near Vero Beach. Do any of you have experience with summer season birding there? Any Osprey left?
Furthermore I would like to know if anybody is familiar with Cape Romain in SC always in the summer and may suggest some good spots for birding.

You lose the migratory birds but all the common native birds are still around, including Osprey.
