The resident great egret

Hi y'all. this year we got monster rainfalls, lol, the weather; two years ago Bay Area had record heat waves. On this particularly hot day, I knew the sunset would be very pretty due to the marine layer remnants by the coast, so I headed out to the bay trails; to my suprise there were a number of shore birds too. This great egret was catching fish & preening feather by the dock, I had the whole place to myself given the 90F weather.

Really a nice set of images. Particularly the first two are very artistic.
Thank you, it's easier to shoot the great egret backlight.

WOW! Three amazing images here. Congrats
Pic 1: print large, mount and throw it on the wall

Thank you Charles, it's my favorite. I think the great egret was cleaning the feather on that very hot summer day, I didn't know the bird can twist its neck that much, quite a fascinating sight.
