Happy for any thoughts pro or con here.
Earlier this summer I had a chance to visit The Spirit (or Witch Tree) on Lake Superior on an Indian Reservation with a photographer friend who is a guide and member of the Tribe.
After hiking out and getting set up the stars were quite lovely that night.
This was a 30 second exposure on a D850 using the 14-24mm 2.8 lens. Winds were calm, and that tiny light on the bottom over the lake is actually Michigan; it's Isle Royale national park's lighthouse. Though it wasn't accepted into a State Fair competition I kind of like it and hope to use it in our camera club competitions. I haven't done a ton at night but in post set the light temperature cooler to about 3200 as I like the sky a little more blue.
Thanks for any thoughts.
