Thinking of buying a D500 with high shutter count .

Shutter life is variable.
Dust in the mechanism or careless use like touching or using compressed air can drastically shorten its life.
I haven't had a Niikon shutter fail in less than 450k my D4 is well past 900k... 🦘
 
This is an old thread, but thanks everyone for providing their D500 shutter count and shutter life. There is a D500 + battery grip on sale recently in my area for $580. The catch is that the shutter life is 110,000. Data like these are informative for my purchase decision.
