Totally agree with you Steve. I spend a lot of time on Utube trying to get tips. Simon and Mark Smith are very good presenters of information that can be used regardless of the brand of camera you shoot. And there are many others as well that can help our efforts. Glad to see Backcountry is glad to present others that offer good information. Tks and kudos to you Steve.

First, I want to send a warm welcome to Simon - hope to see you around here ;)

Honestly, I'd like nothing better than for this forum to be the "go-to" place for people like Simon (or Mark Smith, or Matt K, or Thom Hogan, etc). Can you imagine how much that would boost interest here and how much more information we could share? IMO, competition by keeping "competitors" at bay doesn't work on the internet - collaboration is far more powerful and benefits everyone involved.
I agree, you have the best forum format on the net.

Hi everyone and thanks so much. A friend of mine alerted me to this conversation, and I’m so pleased to see you all enjoy it and learn something from it. I’m just trying to follow in the great big footsteps of Steve, who’s taught us all so much.

It would be nice if you setup a mailing list so people can get notified of new videos…like many I cannot subscribe since that requires staying logged in to YouTube and that means that google tracks everything you do. They probably track everything mostly anyway…but every
title bit one can do to maintain your privacy is good.

On second thought…a google search says it is possible so I need to watch that video to learn how I guess. Still an email notification would be dandy.
