Two very life-like two bronze metal gemsbok @ Twee Rivieren Reception building - Kgalagadi TFP.
You have to get a permit to enter the park every day, even when you sleep over and you have to hand-in your permit every evening. I am normally at the ticket office 50-40 min before it opens. That is when you get time to see the stars fade, the moon set, the sky brighten en even the sun showing its nose, depending on the season and month, as their are different gate times throughout the year. You may also see Verreaux's Eagle Owl, sometimes sitting on the gate post. The resident African Wildcat may be glimpsed too as it comes to drink water at the gate in a small bird bath.
Anyway, this is a good time to play with the statue and the sunrise.
