Yes I'm amazed at the level of detail that's captured. When I took the shot I didn't have high hopes because I could see thermal effects in the EVF. But shot a burst and picked the sharpest one.

Where you are clear skies shouldn't be a problem. I've found that unless you want to catch the colors during rise/set it's best to shoot when the moon is high in the sky and ground temperature has had time to cool a bit. Less heat/atmospheric distortion that way.
