What is your Flickr page?

If you would like to post, you'll need to register. Note that if you have a BCG store account, you'll need a new, separate account here (we keep the two sites separate for security purposes).

A following or a network of friends that one can ask about locations of wildlife, experience with tour leaders, etc? One can also ask why bother being on a photography website like BCG?
Yes, I see what you are saying. That process never worked well for me at Flickr. Not sure why. It has been a while and I don't remember.

Forums are better. Some are really great (I'm in more than one), but I've left forums too.

I have been a member of Flickr for several years. I find the site easy to use and I highly recommend it. I particularly like being able to organize my images in albums. Through Flickr I have met other local photographers and made "friends" with other photographers around the world. We often exchange information about travel, guides, bird sightings, etc. I enjoy belonging to groups on Flickr and getting feedback there from other members. If you haven't checked out Flickr in a while, I suggest you give it another look. Come visit my photostream (https://www.flickr.com/photos/kkr_images/) if you have a chance and do let me know if you are also a Flickr member so we can stay in touch. KKR

Lance, you have some truly wonderful images of Australian birds. I am headed back to Australia in October for my fourth trip and hope to get some pictures to rival yours!
Thank you ever so much for your very kind and generous comments, Kathy. Much appreciated!

Where are you going in Australia? If you are coming to Sydney, I could show you round. :)

I post on flickr a lot in high resolution, I like to look at the pictures myself once in a while from anywhere I am. It's really for my own enjoyment, I post on IG maybe once a month, not a fan of IG for picture viewing.

Yep quite happy with Flickr and have made quite a number of positive contacts & even some paid work. Don't really get involved with the rather pointless commenting along with crappy banners that have very little to do with real sharing and learning.

Lance, that is a kind offer. We will be in Sydney for only a few days at the tail end of our trip. Let me check with Corey and see what he thinks. Kathy
