I enjoy seeing things I havent seen before - so all the photos in this thread are enjoyed - we are exceptionally fortunate to live in a time that we are able to share and learn across the globe - in seconds. Totally impossible a couple of decades ago. I explained to my daughter what snail mail was and she just rolled her eyes at me 😂

Black Kite : Milvus migrans
Delhi, India : 2003

All great images!
Above is the exception!

It was taken in Delhi twenty years ago: that's my excuse for the poor quality (5 megapixels; jpeg only), but I have to admit that it would have been a lot better had the photographer crouched down, closer to the kite's pecking level. Clearly it was waiting to be handed a titbit.

20 years ago we looked at things very differently - back then when I sold my images, I thought they were good. They were - for the time and for what we had available.
It's still a beautiful bird David - not sure who dreamt up the name of black kite though :D

I'm told that in Swedish and Italian the Black Kites are called Brown Kites. Other call them "Black". Go figure
