During my fall trip to Yosemite National Park I tried my hand at some astrophotography. Both are single exposures, however, next time I'm thinking I might have more success using other techniques I've read about. For example maybe try blending two photos, one exposed for the stars and one exposed for the foreground; or trying an image stack to reduce noise. Astro tips, comments, and critiques are welcome!

The lights on the cliff face are all climbers spending the night hanigng from the side in a sleeping sack pinned to the wall? Crazy how many there are. (Even more crazy that people willingly do this and seem to enjoy it.)
Yep, those lights are the headlamps or flashlights of the climbers. Very cool to see, I don’t think I’d be able to sleep suspended on a cliff!
I think you are correct. Pretty cool shot! Well done Johnathan!
Thanks you!
