11-13-24 on a windy, cold, drizzly day in Boise, Idaho. I was a leader on a birding outing for the first time with my Z600mm f/4 TC on my Z9 in the spotting scope role replacing my Z800mm f/6.3.

As normal for me hand held with Hejnar lens foot resting in the palm of my hand and only the back half of Zemlin Hood in use which helps with the sail effect in strong winds.

The Bald Eagle suddenly whipped by as we were getting the group organized in the parking lot. The Brown Creeper and Golden-Crowned Kinglets were life birds for some of the people on the outing and that always makes my day

Ken, you've adapted very quickly to that lens! Nice work!
Thank you it makes the bird ID photography I do easier. Focus speed is the best I have had in a 500mm or longer lens. In the past I had double carried using a Black Rapids and now a Holdfast Money maker a Z9 with Z800 f/6.3 on on side and a Z9 or Z6III with a Z600 f/6.3 on the other side. Now I have both focal lengths covered with one lens at f/4 and f/5.6 with the flick of a switch.
