is it at all possible to adjust the EVF frame rate as I have experienced some flicker on there?

A19 under custom settings and turn on high fps. Changes from 60fps to 120fps.

also note at very slow shutter speeds you will see some blackout die to the slow shutter speed

Why 2 settings ? Why not only 120fps ? What's the downside of 120 fps ?

not much. a bit of battery life. it was introduced as a fw update, so maybe they didn't want to force people to change.

what do any of you that have a Z8 think of the evf resolution? compared to say a Sony A7 it is much lower but is it fine as is?
In the reviews of the Z8 and Z9 they all say that although the EVF resolution is lower than some others, the experience is fine

I've used an OM1, XH2S, XT3, Z6, a7riv, and other less EVFS. Though the Z6 is only 3.69 million dots, its the most naturally looking EVF to me of those I mentioned. I'm not sure on all the specs, but it's brighter than the others and has very little lag when panning, for instance. Resolution isn't everything when it comes to EVFs.

Thanks for the replies as I am considering purchasing a Z8. I see that the A7R V EVF is 9.4M dots and camera price is about the same as the Z8 but there are other advanatages the Z8 has over the A7R V so if the EVF resolution is not really an issue then looks like I am leaning towards the Z8.
