Z8 playback, menu buttons not working—sometimes

I've recently been experiencing a problem on my Z8 where the playback and menu buttons stop working. As in, I take a picture, press the playback button to view the image, and the camera ignores me. Ditto with the menu button. I've tried turning the camera off and on again, that doesn't seem to help. The problem is sporadic and I'm not able to replicate it. The buttons eventually resume working, but I'm not sure why. Has anyone else had this experience?

Is image review turned on in the the playback menu?

It happened to me a few times on my D850 (in five years of use) and I think it happened once on my Z8 (in about a year of use). Not enough for me to worry about, but mildly annoying when it happens. It seems some of the times on my D850 were in cold weather.

In my case I have "Picture review" set to "On(monitor only)"
To complicate troubleshooting this infrequent problem it usually happens when I'm in a time sensitive photo shoot. If this happens in not such a time sensitive photo shoot then I could analyze further, take a video, check battery capacity, etc.

I recently purchased the Tamron 35-150 for my Z8 and have been experiencing the same problem...where the play button doesn't work (sometimes). After reading this thread, I figured out that my left hand was holding up the lens and there is a function button on the lens at the bottom. My hand was inadvertanly hitting that button and I couldn't feel it.
