Z8 Video AF...What am I doing wrong?

If you would like to post, you'll need to register. Note that if you have a BCG store account, you'll need a new, separate account here (we keep the two sites separate for security purposes).

I’m thinking 🤔
We should be able - from a hardware standpoint - to link up 2 cameras to use both processors for the same task. Similar to linking graphics cards.

One camera does the AF, the other does the video encoding.
I'm not smart enough to fully understand, but I "think" the new Canon R5 Mark II has two separate processors. One for AF, one for processing. I assume it works on both stills and video but not 100% sure. It is called Canon R5 II: Digic X and Digic Accelerator. So they are thinking the same thing you are Joel.

@Nimi said there isn't a camera fully capable. He knows the industry.
