Very interesting screen design. At the very last second they show grabbing it and tilting it in the vertical format. Not sure how they did this with a normal tilt screen but very innovative!
The tilt screen looks good.
I agree - you'd think they would have gone right for action work of some sort to really show off. However, Nikon marketing has always been awful. At lest they used the Z9 in this teaser - remember the D6 teasers where all the did was tell you how great the D5 was?I hadn’t expected them to focus the first teaser on a fashion shoot - probably a reflection of the higher resolution sensor versus prior flagships. It does make sense, those new flagships like A1 and Z9 have a broader useability than a 20mp sensor.
Yes, one of things I missed from my Fuji cameras was the ability to tilt like that. It will make shooting low vertical shots much easier. Hope that works it’s way to the other next gen Z bodies.

All of my subjects have those,... Don't yours? Are those little reflectors on the model's eyes required for eye focus?
In our area I have to go out and paint them on the deer before I can take photosAll of my subjects have those,... Don't yours?
It's a thirty-second teaser, ferchrissakes. What do people expect? It shows the eye focus and the tilt screen. I have preordered and I can't wait to get mine.
If they can beat the a1 I’ll be impressed and welcome such a camera to the market. The a1 is the king of the hill right now and while new cameras have come out such as the R3 they fall short of knocking it off the hill. I think many under estimate just what it will take to best the a1.From Thom Hogan, for what it's worth. " I expect the Z9 to be a tour de force based upon the snippets of information that have been shared with me. A strong statement of what Nikon can do. I do worry that it's being rushed a bit. And a buggy tour de force would lose some of its force. I also worry that the lenses aren't yet there to fully amplify the force. But I expect a really good camera to appear. Better than my D6 and A1. "
BETTER THEN MY D6 AND A1
I like his sentiment, but I have my doubts about the Z9 being better than the a1 or even the r3. History is just not on his side with that statement. Nikon has consistently been behind and now is a distant third in AF performance compared to the a1 and R3/5/6. I hope he's right since I'm planning to buy a Z9 - I'd like it to perform at that level - however, I think it's more likely to be at a9ii level. Again, I hope I'm wrong and I'm sure he has more sources at Nikon than I do (since I have, you know, none). From Thom Hogan, for what it's worth. I feel the same since Nikon could not get its act together with Z l & ll versions compared to Sony's A9 & A 9 ii & Canons R5 folowed by R3 ( which is sub par compared to A1).I like his sentiment, but I have my doubts about the Z9 being better than the a1 or even the r3.
