Zeiss lens wipes sold in Walmart - a professional photographer's opinion

WalMart brand is less expensive, same isopropyl alcohol - probably made by Zeiss and private branded.
Zeiss wipes are incredibly cheap. In the UK a pack of 250 is available on Amazon for £18.99. A pack of 250 will last a normal photographer for a very long time. Why take a chance that something a bit cheaper is the same quality?

I went to a meeting held by our local camera club and the speaker (a professional photographer) said that we need to be VERY careful what lens cleaners we use.

The reason: lens wipes can actually wipe away the increasingly sophisticated coating.

I have actually seen a Steve Perry video in which he demonstrated how to use a lens wipe. I did not know if that is a Zeiss lens wipe.

Anyone out there who can address this question? I've been using Zeiss lens wipes on Nikon z lenses but haven't noticed any adverse effects - although I do not use lens wipes if I can clean the lenses with a blower or soft brush.
I have found a lot of lint particles left behind when I use Zeiss cloths, so I went to the opticians office and got a pack of theirs. Works excellent with no lint residue

This site may help answer questions, allay fears, and address myths:

I find the Zeiss wipes to be way too "wet" with isopropyl alcohol so I let them dry out until most of the IPA is gone. Even still its hard to get the final streaks off unless I use a clean microfiber cloth.

Maybe I am doing it wrong but getting a lens truly streak-free is difficult!
