Difficult to tell for sure since we do not know resolution of image to first post then on to the second. It almost looks like an AF-S shot with camera movement and subject movement with as you noted slow shutter speed for that long of an effective focal length. I also note they said processed in NX studio and PS and I see some symptoms of what I have seen from others who over used noise reduction in PS and make a shot a bit muddy but no way to know for sure.@Patrick M , you mean 100-400 is loosing some details with TC? For me it looks like shutterspeed was to slow for lens+TC , IMO (ref. picture)
