14mm prime

I have not used a 14mm prime since I acquired the f-mount Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8 lens. It was much sharper at 14mm than the Nikon or the Canon primes I owned. For astro photography a 20mm works just as well and I prefer the longer focal length overall.

20mm is definitely my favorite wide angle. It can be used for so much and the distortion really isn’t bad with today’s software.

While i love the 14-24 F2.8G, for its 14mm but more so for its versatility and ability to shoot at 6 inches.

My favorite wide angle lens is the 16mm F2.8D Fish eye, flicking the switch from FF to DX gives me around 23mm, at F3.9. F8 is my sweet spot.
