I've been thinking lately how much fun this site and has been for me and how much I enjoy the people here... and of course the things I have personally learned. I can honestly say that I would enjoy shooting with the majority of the posters on this site... ( I find that to be incredibly rare) Hopefully someday some of us will have the opportunity to do this after the Craziness that is 2020 has faded into the rear view mirror.

So to each and everyone I simply say... Stay safe, and hopefully our paths continue to cross.

Well said and well appreciated. This has been a calming, helpful place to visit, post, and explore other people's work. The attitudes and the posts are positive and able to include differing opinions on photography without getting personal. Thanks to people like you who help keep it that way and to Steve for getting this thing going!

Well said, Gordon. As crazy as the outside world has been, it's nice to come back to the calming, evenness, and truly professional nature of everyone on the BCG forums. I agree, I'd be happy to meet up with any of you out in the wild. I've been on other forums where simple disagreements turned ugly. I haven't seen that here, don't ever expect I will! I appreciate y'all too!

Nicely put Gordon and I agree. Good group of folks here and the feeling is overall very positive which isn't always the case on web forums.
100% yes... I think maybe it's because we have somewhat taken on the personality of the owner. It's all about teaching and learning here, sometime you don't like the answer but you have to hear it to get better. I love that about this site, if someone see's something we say it but not in an attacking why. So people are more receptive of any criticism.
And honestly it's empowering as well..

I haven't posted on many (any?) forums so I'm not sure I'm doing the quoting thing right. If not...Gordon, you're 100% right on the personality of the owner of this site. I had a "Steve Perry" YouTube show up on my suggested videos awhile back, can't remember which one (since I've watched so many of his with good reason), but from the first one I was hooked. Professional, succinct, direct and to the point. No fluff, no muss. Just a lot of good information, presented very well. One of the few YT presenters I give 100% to their opinion.

And that's what I've seen on this site from all the contributors. Professional, and helpful. I posted a not so great photo because I had a gear-related question. No one beat me up because my photo wasn't that great. No one picked apart my photo. Everyone chipped in to answer my question. A ton of great suggestions and helpful information. What a great site!

Love hearing this as I'm sure Steve will be as well.... I can't imagine this site working any better than it has honestly. it been by far the best internet Forum I've ever taken part in.

@gordon_g Excellent post. I agree, this site has a level of maturity and enthusiasm that is not often seem on the internet. I rarely post anything on other forums but even though I haven't been here long it just feels like home.
BTW I don't think it's out of the question for us to meet up some time. :)
I spend most of the spring out by you fishing Cayuga Lake... And visiting Montezuma.

Very well said Gordon --- it is another super Steve Perry "experience", well conceived and organised by him and his team (especially Rose) and perfectly timed to allow us "Wildlifers" to express ourselves , our work and hopes for the future, and to share experiences and advice for the benefit of all . Bravo.

Gordon ~ absolutely agree with you and the other guys 'n dolls, especially the humour sneaking through here and there. This site has cost me 2 months off working on my website so far, but what the heck, I really enjoy the camaraderie here. It also rekindled the hunt for old landscape images that were dormant for years!
Give this site owner a Bells! ( hope you have this advert in the States too)

Well... I think you need to start putting in some overtime, or just Send Steve a bill for the 2 months... :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I do agree 100% with the camaraderie statement!

Should be no problem for you Callie (nor for Erasmus or Frank for that matter)

Btw the translation is not completely correct
It means ‘things are like they are, let’s hope it stays this way’

Hear, hear! Some other photography forums are full of nit-picking and not-so-subtle put-downs of other folks -- none of that here. Thanks to everyone who posts on this forum and especially to Steve.

Agreed! And I am continually thinking, "once COVID allows I've got to look these people up when I'm shooting in their neck of the woods!"

All I know is that I'm blown away with all the kind, knowledgeable people who post here. When we started this, we were concerned about - and even expected - troublemakers, but that really hasn't been the case. In fact, I think there has been only four or five reported posts since with start this a few months back! That's unbelievable to me. I think this forum hit the jackpot with great members and I'll do my best to keep it that way as it grows.

We I think I can speak for everyone here when I say a huge THANK YOU! We know you have our backs and we have yours as well! This is a great group of people your have attracted Steve and Rose!. Kudos To you both!
