Nicely done and nice bokeh.Seeing all the fantastic posts on the Hummers thread I figured another popular area for wildlife photos is Birds in Flight. Anyone interested in sharing BIF photos?
I'll kick it off with this Great Egret captured this morning down by the Snake River. It was well past sunrise when I came across this guy fishing along the bank of a small side channel. The sun was getting pretty high in the sky but we've got a lot of smoke from Western forest fires which diffuses the light a bit (can't even see the Tetons from Jackson right now) so I thought I'd give it a go. I sure wish he'd flown towards me but I really liked the darker mountainside across the river as a background.

So what are folks capturing for Birds in Flight?
I have never gotten such a nice photo of a Cormorant in flight.
Great pigeon photo. Colorful, good detail and sharp.I'd love to add some. Here is a bird though not very glamorous makes for great bif practice as they can be plentiful in many of the countries town squares and parks.View attachment 1209
It looks like a frigate, Nice!
Beautiful owl, good detail and sharp.Northern Harrier, Vesper Sparrows bickering over territory, and one more Great Gray OwlView attachment 64057View attachment 64058View attachment 64059
Very well done. Not exactly the most impressive/exotic bird; but here goes. A black headed gull captured yesterday.
Great catch for both of you.Osprey seem like they should be easy to get a decent photo but i have really struggled to capture a really good image. I'll get there someday. Here is one with a fish he grabbed out of the Frenchman Hills river. I will say he had quite a meal ready and tried hard but a Swainson's hawk left with the bass.

It's been a while since we've had much activity on this thread so I thought I'd kick it off with this Brewer's Blackbird I came across out on the sage flats yesterday
