How do you lug around your big prime lens?

Plus one for the Cotton Carrier. I was inspired in this direction when I saw all the Mom's with their baby's in the front carry packs. If your on the move it is a solid carry. I put a Z6ii with the 100-400 in the Carrier and hold a Z8/600 combo in my hand. I have a cross shoulder Peak Design strap on as well with a QD clip to hang the Z8/600 when I switch to the other setup. Cotton Carrier also works well from a bicycle.

IMG_0348.jpgIMG_0351 2.jpgI used the Mr Jan Carrier with my D6 or D850 and 600 f/4E. Now I use Holdfast single carry or the double carry Money Maker.

My wife snapped these photos just after I got back from a birding outing.

The Z9 is still my body of choice but I have recently sold the Z800 f/6.3 and moved to a Z600 f/4 TC and use the Holdfast single carry. They are much more comfortable than my Black Rapids were. I had very short time with the Cotton Carrier I had to use with my D500/D850 and Sigma 150-600 sport, it just did not work for me, to slow on the draw and it just was not comfortable for me.

As was suggested to me in one of my posts, the Wimberley MH-100 Monopod gimbal has saved me big time. I can carry my heavy lens and camera over my shoulder for hours with no discomfort.
I even used mine with my f mount 600 f/4E and it worked well. Has sat in the closet since I went to the Z system but someday I will probably need it again.
