I know, exposure sux. I was photographing Bald Eagles in a tree & happened to look back at where I had propped my monopod & saw this guy.
Like Steve says, make a habbit of checking your exposure!
Your Sand Martins look a lot like our Rough-winged swallows, great photo and caption.Here we have a Swallow bragging to a Sand Martin about how easy the migration is and how many times he's done it already. The Swallow's mate has heard it all before!View attachment 3902

I have 2 Feisol CT-3472 tripods. Have you had issues with the collars on yours? They have been johnny-on-the-spot with replacements but I honestly should have a spent a few hundred more for RRS.

Did you already pull the exposure up for this or do you think a bit of opening up of exposure/shadows along with maybe some Topaz noise reduction might work on this?
