I am in the same boat. But I come back from a trip and realize that I missed several images I would love to have. Do I got back to try to get them? At what cost? I give up an opportunity for another trip. If I am going for only the enjoyment of the trip, I am an eco-tourist, not a nature photographer. i want both. I want to maximize (within reason) the number of wall hangers (to use a Stevism) I get. Now 30 FPS that gets me 3 times the number of nearly identical keepers as 10 fps is not worth much to me. But getting that hard to capture image is worth something extra.Good points, but I just don't think of my photography from an ROI point of view. I'm not a professional, so the only person I'm trying to please is myself. I'm in it for the experience, not the bragging rights or monetary gain. To me, it makes absolutely no sense to chase the next greatest feature, at significant cost, for a marginal gain in enjoyment. But, I'm just an old fossil anyway![]()
