It's one of my favourite birds & definitely one of the most colourful we have in Britain.

They are so difficult to differentiate so I could also be totally wrong but the first one, from its delicate green collar resembles more a female green kingfisher rather than amazon. the amazon seems to have large blotchy patches rather than the collar
 
Great Kingfisher shots, everyone! I have a hard time getting a good shot of them, they are just so quick and do not sit still very long. Here is a belted I caught just this week.
