Lens (that are realistic) that I would like to see Nikon make

Here is my wish list of lens in the Z mount (approximately in priority order)

600 F/5.6 (probably PF)
180-400 F/4 TC replacement
Long Macro with tripod collar
70-200 F/4 or similar to complete the F/4 trinity
17 or 19mm TC-E

Lower priority
12-24 F/2.8 or F/4
16 F/1.8 or F/2 for night skies

Probably some other lens that are not top of mind now. I don't have nor do I expect to have a DX camera, so there are no DX lens on my list.

What is on your wish list?

There is another 600 PF on the roadmap.
A lighter 180-400 f4 would be nice but probably expensive.
As a product shooter what I need most most is a Z version of the 85mm tilt/shift lens ...

The heck with realistic…I want a 14-800 f1.8 that is as good at all lengths and apertures as the 600/f4…has a built in 1.4 and 2.0 TC with no degradation and is the size and weight of say the 24-120 and costs $2500…physics be darned. And let’s not forget…fixed aperture and internal zoom.

Give it a few months and we will probably have such a lens in Firefly. No camera needed!

I use my Nikon AF-S 28 - 300mm f/3.5-5.6 lens a lot for street photography. It has always been sharp. It would be great with the larger Z mount.

What is on your wish list?

Actually two of the ones you mentioned:

-600 5.6 PF, but with integrated TC
-200mm macro (or longer, doesn't need to be 1:1)

Generally I'd like to see some affordable teles with integrated TCs, some f/1.4 lenses that are cheaper and smaller than those f/1.2 ones, some teles with closer focus distance.

I’m surprised to see all the 120-300mm requests. Is that for shooting sports?

It's my go to for Soccer sidelines and Motorsports. Super sharp and super versatile. (Also pretty heavy)

I would love for Nikon to release a S line 200mm f2.8 or 300mm f4. On the current roadmap there seems to be a hole between 135mm and 400mm that I would like to see filled with some fast(ish) primes.

Would love a few of these that you list, with one addition. If and when the 200-600 (180-600) is ever released, it would be great if it was a variable aperture lens like the 100-400 and also shared its outstanding minimum focusing distances.
