Can we get a look at the menus? Specifically, looking to see if it has the same menu bank system as the Z9/D850/etc (as opposed to the U modes of the other Zs)?
Edit: Oh, and perhaps the speed of focus stacking and how it compares to the other Z6ii/7ii and Z9. Looking for macro potential.

Is focus tracking and focus acquisition better than Z9 especially when the subject only covers small part of frame. I have small birds in mind which are not frame filling even with 800mm lens.
Steve - do the latest generation Z tele lens work as fast on the Z8 as they do on the Z9 (with its larger battery)?

The Z9 is very good (borderline great) at dissipating heat. Any sense on how the Z8, with its smaller form factor, has been engineered to handle the heat? Have you experienced hot memory cards so far?

Hi Steve, good to hear Nikon sent you a Z 8 on the annoucement day. I am interested to know more about 10-bit HEIF support on the Z 8. What is HEIF format and why should I switch to using it e.g. does it have a wildlife application?

One more. The Z9 is very well balanced when attached to the latest NIKKOR Z lenses. The Z8 is lighter - do you notice any difference in balance with longer lenses?
Is the Z8 a suitable backup camera to the Z9?

Hi Steve, I wonder how many RAW photos you can take on one fully charged battery with the Z8? I also wonder about how much video you can make? The EN EL-15c in a Z body isn't exactly known for duration.

fwiw, that's a hard question to answer because it very much depends on your usage patterns.

Are you sure D850 did that? I don't recall that. I only remember that issue on the 5D3.

Thank you Steve and Rose for prepare this in such a short time. Consider the price going up for everything, Z8 is really attracting.

I think so..i never used an SD card on my d850 because of this reason..but now that you ask and am trying to recollect why I did that but I don’t seem to remember why.

i don't recall an impact using sd for overflow with the d500
Another excellent job. Don’t see Rose much in your videos though…but I guess she’s usually doing B roll or running the A roll camera for you.
