It's that time of year again - post 5-7 of your favorite / best wildlife images from 2024. I know it's tough and if you can't pick "best" pick favorites - that's what I did LOL.

Please keep all your images in a single post. I'm looking forward to seeing them!

This year was for the birds, and much of it close to home. Noted below is why I picked them.

Simplicity of the B&W tones and the eye draws me in.

Here are a few of my favorites from 2024. After looking at the beautiful photos here, I hesitate to call anything I shoot "best" but I'll go with favorites. Some are just because of the memories of the day and some are because of the subject matter.

Cottonmouth - venemous snake living in the southeastern part of USA. You can see how they get their name.

My wife and I were walking through the woods in winter when the little squirrel peeked out of his warm hiding place to see who was at the door.

This Tawny Emperor butterfly landed on my wife's finger as we were walking along a creek looking for snakes.

I'll be the first to admit I am terrified of spiders. I was doing some macro photography of daffodils in the springtime when I noticed this tiny crab spider inside. I find spiders intriguing and interesting photo subjects even if I am scared of them.
