Really difficult to pick only a few. These shots represent several trips I took this year. The first one is from Grand Teton NP and is an ode to 399 & her cub, Spirit, this was my first time photographing her and I'm happy that I got to photograph her before she died, after trying for several years. The second one, a black bear cub, was taken in Yellowstone NP. The juvenile bald eagle was taken on an island outside of Homer, AK, where a group of photographers were dropped off in the snow for four hours to photograph eagles! The pheasant, a shot I've tried to get at various times throughout the year on my travels, was taken in my yard! The polar bear shot was taken outside of Churchill, Canada, on Hudson Bay, the young male bears were sparring. The Puffin shot was taken on an island called Île aux Perroquets outside of Longue-Point-de-Mingan, Quebec, Canada. The Sandhill Crane is from my most recent trip, December, to Bosque del Apache in New Mexico.
Happy New Year to All!
